~The Aesir - The Nordic race of Gods who live in Asgard and under Odin's rule guide the lives of the mortal men.
The Aesir include:
-Odin (the all-father, and ruler of the Aesir)
-Thor (Odins son, Vidar's Brother and God of Thunder)
-Balder (god of beauty)
-Braqi (god of eloquence)
-Forseti (god of meditation)
-Freyr (god of fertility [originally one of the Vanir])
-Heimdallur (guardian of the Bridge)
-Hod (the Blind God)
-Loki (Odins foster-brother, god of fire and ally of the frost giants, a trickster [a jotun])
-Njord (the sea god [originally one of the vanir, like Freyr])
-Tyr (god of war, battles and Bravery)
-Vili (Odins Brother, responsible for giving man feeling and though)
-Ve (Odins Brother, Responsible for giving man speech)
-Vidar (Odins son, Thor's Brother)
-Frigg (Odin's wife)
-Sif (Thor's wife, known for her Golden Hair)
-Idun (keeper of the apples of youth)
-Vioarr (god of silence, stealth, and revenge)
-Nanna (wife of Balder)
-Meili (the mile-stepper)
-Vali (the avenger, turned into a wolf by the gods, brother and killer of Harve)
-Ullr (the Hunter, Tracker and Archer)
-Hoenir (the indecisive god)
The apples of youth are what make the gods immortal, without the apples the gods would age and eventually die.

The Vanir include:
-Freyja (Sister of Freyr and daughter of Njord, was the goddess of love, sex, bauty and attraction, and was often called upon to bring fruitfulness to field and womb)
-Gullveig (Believed to be the ignitiong source for the war of the gods, she died 3 times in Odens hall and born 3 times, was believed to be a powerful black sorceress)
-Hoenir (An Aesir hostage, believed to be one of the few survivors of ragnarok, may be another name for Vili, and was believed rto have cecome ruler of the vanir)
-Mimir (An Aesir hostage, known for his wisdom and knowledge, is the keeper of the well, and uses the horn Gjallarhorn to drink from it, Odin, either took Mimir's head, or had it sent to him from the Vanir as a result of the war of the gods)
-Kvasir (was created from the salive of ALL of the gods, making him the wises of the Vanir, he was murdered by Fjalar and Galar, his blood and honey fermented into the poets mead, which odin stole from Baugi and Suttung by seducing Suttung's Daughter Gunnlod)
-Lytir (not well known, name translates as "the contaminator" or "that which is small" in old norse, is mentioned to have the king of norway ask his counsil, but thats about it)
-Njoror (God of wind, and fertility along the coast, sailing, fishing and seamanship, can calm/tame fire and water, is the husband of Skaoi, and father of both Ynvi-Freyr and Freyja)
~The Jotnar - The Giants. Often Noted for Opposing the Aesir Gods.
The Jotnar include:
-Aegir (king of the sea)
-Baugi (Suttung's Brother, Odin stole their mead)
-Beli (Freyr kills him with the antler of a Hart)
-Bergelmir (grandson of Ymir, son of Thruogelmir, the first giant [wikipedia explanation] and father of the new frost giant race)
-Bestla (Mother of odin, Ve and Vili, Frost Giantess, Daughter of Bolthorn)
-Bolthorn (Father of Bestla, Maternal Grandfather of Odin, he is also the father of a nameless giant who taught Odin nine magic charms or "songs")
-Geirrod (Hated thor, father of Gjalp and Greip, Killed By thor [also the name of a king killed by Oden for his Cruelty])
-Gerd (Wife of Freyr, goddess of soil fertility and sex, was known to be the most beatiful creature in existance, her naked arms illuminate the air and sea)
-Gilling (father of Sutting, he and his wife were murdered by Fjalgar and Galar)
-Gjalp & Greip (daughters of Geirrod, Killed by Thor)
-Gunnlod (Daughter of Suttung, guarded the mead of poetry, but helped Odin take it)
-Gymir (father of Gird, husband of Aurboa)
-Hrod (wife of hymir, Friend of the Aesir)
-Hrungnir (Lost a bet with Odin [over a horse] and was invited to Valhalla, but was later killed by Thor)
-Hymir (Father of Tyr, the Aesir God)
-Ivaldi (one of the Husbands of Hrod, had his cauldron of beer brewing taken by Thor)
-Jarnsaxa (Lover of Thor, With him had Magni, the name of one of the mothers of Heimdallr)
-Kari (Also Fornjot, Personification or god of the wind)
-Narve (Also Narfi, The Father of Nott, son of Loki and Sigyn --> who was killed to punish loki. He was killed by his brother vali and his entrails bind Loki to the stone until Ragnarok)
-Skaoi (Daughter of Thjazi, wife of Njord, stepmother of Freyr and Freyja, also noted to be one of the Vanir)
-Surtr (Leader of the southern fire giants, leader of Muspelheim, will march his armies north to overwhelm the gods during ragnarok)
-Suttung (son of Gilling, father of Gunnlod, murdered by Fjalar and Galar along with his mother)
-Thjasi (The father of Skaoi, kidnapped lounn)
-Thruogelmir (son of the Primordial giant Aurgelmir, Father of Bergelmir, has six heads)
-Thrymr (Stole Thors hammer, was killed by thor along with his entore family at Freyja's wedding reception)
-Utgaroa-Loki (Loki of the Outyards, owns and rules castle Utgaroir in Jotenheimr)
-Vafthruonir (Odin's host and defeated opponent of a battle of wits)
-Ymir (also named Aurgelmir, was the founder of the race of Frost giants, an important figure in Norse cosmology Thruogelmir's father, creator of man and woman through his left armpits sweat.....)
-Ivaldi (Father of the dwarves who built the wonders sutch as the ship of Freyr)
-Ovaldi (Father of Thjazi, Gangr and Idi, is the Grandfather of Skadi, was wealthy with gold before he died)
